The procedure involves the injection of a specially-formulated compound solution (mixture of phosphatidylcholine, deoxycholate with some vitamins and minerals) into the subcutaneous tissue. The injected substance attaches to fatty deposits and works to break them down over time. Then the body naturally flushes out the solution and the dissolved fat.
The treatment is ideally suited for treating smallish, clearly defined zones of fat around the inner or outer thigh or folds under the buttocks in people with normal weight or those who are slightly overweight. However, the lipolysis method is not suitable as a means for general weight reduction or for treating obesity.
After the anaesthetic cream has been applied, the targeted areas are injected with the use of an ultra-fine needle. The whole procedure lasts around 30 minutes. The place of injection becomes red and the patient feels the burning sensation which passes very quickly.
The fat loss occurs gradually, the optimal outcome of the lipolysis will be reached after 3-4 sessions at intervals that are about four weeks apart. However, good results are usually visible after one treatment.
The desired effect lasts for about 12 months.
It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight, solarium and sauna, as well as visit to spa, and sports for approximately a week after the treatment.
The treatmet is an ideal supplement to healthy diet and regular exercises. A few sessions of lymphatic drainage (endermologie) are recommended to speed up the process of fat cells removal.
In the first hours and days you may feel itching, treated areas are usually swollen and red. There may also develop minor bruising, sensitivity to touch, pain at the injection site and higher fever in the treated area. All the above symptoms usually subside quickly, and should completely disappear within two weeks.
