Food intolerance is an adverse reaction to food, not triggered by the immune system. Intolerance is triggered by food eaten on a regular basis and in large amounts. It manifests itself much slower than allergy, and its symptoms are more diverse and less acute.

What are symptoms of food intolerance?

Among the symptoms of food intolerance are: headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, joint pain. Dietary treatment involves introducing elimination diet. Intolerance is most frequently caused by: cow’s milk, eggs, wheat, durum flour, nuts, fish, seafood, yeast, cocoa, but also tea, oranges and lemon.

In order to make sure that the patient suffers from food intolerance, we perform a FOOD DETECTIVE intolerance test. This is a fast and virtually pain-free examination in which we analyse a sample of blood taken from a finger-prick. The results are ready on the same day.
